Parents reached the Vice Chancellor’s office with a complaint.

On the completion of 9 years of good governance in Bihar, the then Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had announced free education for girl students and SC/ST students. It was implemented in July 2015. In the year 2020, Ranjit Pandit, the state president of student organization AISF, also filed a PIL in the Patna High Court on this issue. The court also ordered on this, but it does not seem to have any effect on some colleges of Madhepura.

Many government and non-government colleges under Madhepura BN Mandal University are making fun of the order of the government and the court. Dhananjay Kumar, a resident of Bhelwa of Saharsa district, who reached BN University, is wandering for the nomination of his daughter. His daughter is to be enrolled in Part One in Ghailadh Adarsh Degree College, but a demand of Rs 2400 is being made from her. They also came to the university to complain about this, but did not get any clear assurance, while the date of enrollment is only till November 25.

In this regard, the principal of the college, Ratan Kumar, says that no information has been given to him in this regard so far. While the condition of government colleges is no different, in TP College and PS College, SC ST students are being charged Rs 1300 to 1700 at the time of enrollment.

According to Dr. Ashok Kumar, the student welfare officer of the university on this whole matter, till now a letter has been sent in this regard to all the colleges of the university four times, if any college still has any students and SC / ST students at the time of enrollment. Taking fees, if any student complains with evidence, then action will be taken.

Former AISF President Ranjit Pandit, who filed a PIL in the Patna High Court regarding this, said that the court has clearly said in its order that the government should guarantee that now no fee is charged from any girl student and SC ST students in Bihar at the time of enrollment. Will go Also, the amount taken after 2016 should be returned. But still such information is being received that this amount is being taken in many colleges. The door of the court will be knocked once again regarding this.
