The turmoil continues within the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). In the midst of this uproar, Chirag Paswan has suffered a major setback on Friday. Chirag Paswan’s petition has been dismissed by the Delhi High Court. The court said that there is no merit in the petition. You guys go to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Election Commission.

In a petition filed in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, Chirag Paswan had said that Pashupati Kumar Paras has been expelled from the party for being the national president due to anti-party activities and betraying the top leadership. Because of this he is not a member of LJP. Chirag had also challenged the decision of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in the court, in which he had accepted Paras as the leader of the house.

Chirag Paswan’s petition filed against taking oath of Pashupati Paras as minister was heard in Delhi High Court. The speaker’s counsel told the court that the speaker is looking into the matter. After which the court said that we cannot give any order in this matter now, because the Speaker of the Lok Sabha is looking into the matter.

The counsel for the Speaker of the Lok Sabha said that there is no ground for hearing this petition. Chirag’s lawyer did not oppose the speaker’s point. At the same time, the lawyer appearing for Pashupati Paras said that the letter which Paras had given to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, at that time Pashupati Paras was the Chief Whip of the party and was later elected the leader of the party. After this the court told Chirag’s lawyer that you should go to the Election Commission. Should not have come here.

Wave of happiness in Paras faction

After this decision of the Delhi High Court, there is a wave of happiness in the Paras faction. LJP leader Keshav Singh said that it is the prerogative of the Lok Sabha Speaker to recognize or not to give recognition to anyone. At the same time, the PM can make anyone a minister, it is his prerogative. Chirag Paswan had gone to court without Aadhaar, so the petition was dismissed. Pashupati Paras had taken steps according to the rules, which have been supported by the Speaker, Prime Minister and the High Court. At the same time, no one has given any statement from Chirag Paswan’s side.

There was a coup in the LJP on the night of June 13-14.

The discord in the LJP started on the evening of June 13. On June 14, except Chirag Paswan, the other five MPs had called a meeting of the Parliamentary Board. In this, Hajipur MP Pashupati Kumar Paras was elected as the new chairman of the parliamentary board. This information was also given to the Lok Sabha Speaker. By the evening of June 14, he had also got recognition from the Lok Sabha Secretariat. After this, Chirag Paswan called a meeting of the National Executive and recommended the removal of the five rebel MPs from LJP. Then on June 17, at a meeting of the Paras faction in Patna, he was elected the national president of the party.
